Here's a Cool Tune!
Aaron Castilla is from Spokane, WA. He grew up taking lessons from Wilson School of Strings. He started at age 8 and now as a young adult, he is a road musician with "The Doo-Wah Riders" out of California. In this video, he plays "Sweet Georgia Brown" with a little help from Jake and Zack Wilson.
Music classes were great! I was very impressed by the way you kept the class learning and moving along nicely even though there were over thirty people in the class! The way Mr. Wilson explained how and why theory works made a ton of sense and it finally started to click.....!!!!! Which is huge as I am not one that just understands theory! The class seemed to opened a whole new world of chord progressions and theory that are now waiting for me to dive in and learn!!! It's so exciting! Hope to see you all again at WOTFA. You and your family are very inspiring.

“ Thanks again for having us. Zack is great to work with. He is so patient and encouraging to all of us. We are so happy to have found you folks.”

What a fabulous learning experience and a fun time you gave us, Andrew. I have been to many classes over the years, and you are by far the very best. Most of the others present a bunch of new unfamiliar tunes. The student is so busy trying to learn the tune, that it is very difficult to learn any theory or chord structures. You got it spot on my friend. Go Western Swing. Neal Beechinor
Andrew, you and your family did a super job with the class! I have wanted to attempt improv for a while and you set a mood of encouragement, light heartedness, and support in the group that enabled me (and many others) to try to "fatten up" some tunes. I enjoyed every day and hope to have an opportunity to jam with y'all sometime- you know I am going work on some licks!
